A special ship is a ship that has a variety of functions. Broadly speaking, ships that can ship more than two types of cargo can be called multi-purpose vessels. However, the multi-purpose vessel generally referred to is specifically a multi-purpose dry cargo ship. There are many varieties of dry goods, which can be classified into five categories according to their requirements for ship performance and equipment, namely, groceries, bulk cargo, containers, major parts and roll-on goods. Therefore, the goal of multi-purpose vessels is to carry these five types of goods efficiently.
